In between work and exploring your going to need a place to call home and RY has you covered. Our local teams scour the neighborhoods near our workspaces to ensure RY apartments are safe, comfortable and close to all the things you need to feel at home in your new city while still getting an authentic local living experience. Here is what you can expect from your Remote Year apartment:
You’ll become incredibly close with the other members of your Remote Year community, but we’re guessing you’re going to need a bit of “alone time” too. That’s where your private bedroom comes in. This will be your personal sanctuary, a place where you can relax after a long day of work. Your comfort is important to us, so you’ll have a chance to submit your accommodation preferences to your Program Leader every month.,
No need to waste precious luggage space on pillows or blankets. Each RY apartment is fully furnished so you can expect to have all the pots, pans, forks and knives you could need, as well as linens and towels clean and waiting for you upon arrival. You’ll always be able to get some emails done from bed or some late-night side trip planning but the strength and reliability of internet will vary across each city and apartment.
Your comfort is important to us. If things go wrong (this is an adventure after all!), and you need maintenance assistance in your apartment, our on-the-ground Remote Year city operations manager is there to help.
“I really loved staying at 106 Adderley. It was a short walk from the workspace and so close to a lot of great bars and restaurants”
– Leah D, Remote Year Cousteau
