WHAT IS THE REMOTE NATION?
After traveling the world, we’ve seen a lot of nations and often wondered what a “perfect nation” could look like - one free of borders and made up of incredible people who see the value of a like-minded community with shared values. So, we built our own “Remote Nation”, a lifelong community for all of our members, from upcoming participants (“Premotes”), current participants (“Remotes”), to past participants and staff who have completed a program (“Citizens”).
3000+ people have trusted us on their life-affirming journeys with 93% rating their experience positively. Imagine being a part of this community where you can share fun, travel experiences, share life tips and advice, work on professional development or passion projects together, and meet your future best friends, coworkers, or life mates. That’s who we are and much more.

The importance of community
It’s no secret that community is at the center of everything that we do. We can all work alone in our own offices or homes. We can all visit Machu Picchu, play with elephants in Thailand, go on a camel ride through the Sahara desert, or climb to the top of Mt. Fuji alone. But, we believe that all of those memories are more fun and better shared with a group of like-minded people with you on that journey.
Nothing makes us prouder than seeing our Remote Nation members forming companies, professional partnerships, and even marriages and families with other members.
Every single part of our platform is focused on letting that community magic happen, from the living arrangements, to the workspace, to the experiences we curate.

Our stance on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI)
Our vision is to inspire lifelong friendships, adventure, and growth while traveling, working, and living in the most inspiring places in the planet and we can’t do that without taking DEI seriously. We look for people with an appetite for adventurism and growth, who want to genuinely become better global citizens, and value connecting with diverse cultures and communities. We’ve learned that if we want the world to be diverse and inclusive, we have to start with ourselves.
Meet THE citizens
Our Citizens are incredibly engaged and our Remotes love seeing Citizens joining more programs and experiences after their programs are complete or giving helpful advice on our digital Slack forum.
We have even had people traveling non-stop with us year after year and returning with family, friends, and coworkers that they’ve recruited to join in on the fun.
REMOTE NATION MEMBERSHIP & CITIZENSHIP
Our programs range from 1 week to 12 months long, but the community we build lasts long after your program is over. All program participants are granted Remote Nation membership. Upon completion of multiple months of an RY program, Remotes are granted Citizenship. As a lifelong Citizen of the Remote Nation, you will be granted exclusive benefits, experiences, and promotions.
Additionally, we are creating a Subscription and Loyalty program for our most dedicated Citizens to continue to experience the world with the Remote Nation community. More to come soon!
