On our 4-month Moreno program, you will embark on an unforgettable journey filled with thrilling adventures, colorful cities, and engaging cultural experiences as you explore four vibrant destinations: Lima (Peru), Medellin (Colombia), Antigua (Guatemala), Mexico City (Mexico).
The inspiration for this program name comes from Rita Moreno, a Puerto Rican-born American actress, dancer, and singer who accomplished the rare feat of winning all four of the major North American entertainment awards (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony). She was also the first Hispanic woman to receive an Oscar.
Adventures await on this transformative journey where you will experience the highlights of Latin America while engaging with a vibrant community of global citizens.
On our Cruz Learn & Travel program, you will enhance your Spanish skills while also having the time to pursue professional goals and explore Latin America.
To ensure an optimized learning experience, you will be placed with fellow learners according to your level, and you will be able to customize the level of fluency you would like to commit to.
On this Learn & Travel program, you can expect:
*Add-on language packages are available at an additional cost
Your Moreno journey begins in Lima, Peru, a coastal city and culinary hot spot that offers stunning panoramic cliffside views of the Pacific. Wander the city’s historic colonial streets, admire bohemian street art in Barranco, or sample fresh ceviche after an afternoon surf session at Punta Roquitas.
Continue the adventure in Medellin, Colombia, a bustling city with a colorful past, situated in the Aburrá Valley. Surrounded by lush mountains, spend your days sipping locally-grown aromatic coffee, discovering the city’s history through street art in Comuna 13, or exploring the colorful lakeside town of Guatapé.
Next, you will travel to Antigua, Guatemala. This city, framed by impressive volcanoes and majestic mountains, is known for its beautifully preserved Colonial architecture. Admire the pastel facades as you amble along cobblestone streets, pop into a farm-to-table restaurant, or slip out of the city to hike along Lake Atitlan.
Your final destination is the buzzing metropolis of Mexico City, Mexico. Whether you see yourself hopping on a hot air balloon to explore the Teotihuacan pyramids or searching for the best tacos in town, this exciting political, economic, and cultural center will delight art-enthusiasts, food lovers, and adventurers alike.
