Travel the World For A Year For Free! Extended Family and Remote Year Launch

London, UK, May 23rd, 2023 - Extended Family, a community-based travel platform focused on connecting locals and travelers worldwide, has announced a partnership with Remote Year, the leading provider of community-based work and travel programs. Together, they will launch a competition on May 23rd in search of an Extended Family Chief Storyteller to travel the world for a year, with all flight and accommodation expenses paid.

The Chief Storyteller will tell stories of locals and travelers alike, focusing on building a more intentional and symbiotic relationship between the places we experience and the people in them. They will travel to 12 countries throughout Asia, Europe, Africa, and Latin America while highlighting stories of local communities, their own travel adventures, and those of fellow remote professionals traveling with Remote Year for 1-month or longer.

Extended Family founder, Brandon E. Campbell, inspired the competition from his experience traveling on a 12-month program with Remote Year in 2017, when he sought out and recorded meaningful connections with locals in each country focused on cultural exchange.

To be considered, applicants must create a compelling 60-second video articulating why community is important to them and share it on Instagram and Tik Tok.
